A man I have hardly seen,
Around me has seldom been.
Craved for him all the while,
Grew up as destiny’s child.
Moments of void and despair,
Nothing could ever repair.
It was merely life’s game,
He just left when I came.
Unbearable was his loss,
Life went for a real toss.
Years of agony and pain,
Drove me really insane.
Angry with life I was,
Happiness and joy were in pause.
Grew up as a staunch rebel,
Many a tale I can tell.
No more sorrows or drops of tears,
This realization took many years,
Life is all about trick or treat,
Either way, learn to greet.
Accepting life in its entirety.
With my new-found maturity,
Felt I very much his absence,
Today, my dad is a Presence!
